What a great experience MTI was in our lives as we moved one step closer to preparing ourselves for a move. Lots of culture stuff. How would you respond if they.......? How will they respond if you.........? How would God respond? We worked on Leaving our world and entering their world and what all that looks like. We did a lot on building community. Did you know that the primary reason that missionaries come home early from their field assignment is because of strife within the Mission Organization itself. How do we keep from allowing us to fall into that category? The one poster that kept coming back to my mind was "GOD HELP" That is the only way that we will be able to get through much of what lies ahead. Preparing the children for the move (the Big's and the Little's), Raising Support, Packing, Language School, and the list goes on and keeps growing. Only with GODS HELP and your prayers will it all come together.
So now we are back home scheduling another trip to Jarabacoa with the three little girls, Nina, Janae, and Marcy so that they can visit the schools, and the schools can visit with them. We are looking at the weekend of Memorial Day and will keep planning that direction. God Help!
With the training behind us we begin ramping up the plans for Abby's wedding to Jeff Mishler. they had grown up in the same church all their lives but only really noticed each other the last 5-6 years. It has been such a joy watching all four of our grown children mature into their own lives and it is just as rewarding to see them pick a spouse like Jeff to spend the rest of her life with.
